Up-to-date technology for perfect results
We can avail ourselves of the most modern and professional equipment in our practice for the implantology procedures. This means our patients are treated under ideal conditions and with cutting-edge technology. In the following, we would like to show you a selection of the equipment in use. We would also be happy to explain any of the methods used in the operations during a consultation.
Virtual Implant Planning
Whether an implant achieves the wished for success depends on the exact diagnosis, the planning and the preparation. Digital implant planning allows accurate three-dimensional imaging of the individual tooth and jaw setting.
An overview of the procedure A special computer programme transforms the DVT (Digital Volume Tomograph) images into a three-dimensional picture, with the help of which the length, diameter, inclination and optimal positioning of the implants can be planned. After this, a model of the jaw is constructed using this data. This model serves on the one hand in the manufacture of the drilling template used in the operation and on the other hand in the manufacture of the denture, which is fixed in place directly after the operation.
- The planning takes place usually without the presence of the patient
- The results of the procedure lead to a quicker and gentler implantation
Even if the bone has already deteriorated, safe implantations in our practice are still possible due to bone regeneration measures, or to the use of bone replacement material.
An overview of the procedure The template produced according to the virtual implant planning data is used during the operation to ascertain the exact position of the implants. After the insertion of the implants, the prefabricated denture can be fixed in place immediately in many cases. The patient leaves the practice with a fixed denture. Following the healing phase, the new lifelong teeth can be fixed in position.
- Increased safety through three-dimensional imaging and planning
- The short operation time is kinder on the patient
- The immediate setting of the fixed denture means the great results can be seen immediately
Piezo surgery makes controlled three-dimensional ultrasound oscillations possible, with which bone can be treated in a more careful way than was previously the case. Typical fields of application range from bone modelling to implantology.
- The surrounding tissue, e.g. gums or nerves are not touched
- The healing process is stimulated
- Swelling is kept to a minimum
Digital X-ray is one of today’s most important components in modern dentistry. In contrast to conventional X-ray technology with a classic X-ray film, digital X-ray uses a data film.
The Digital Volume Tomograph
This device makes it possible to see bone structure, teeth and even nerves in the jaw in a 3D image. This means that your treatment can planned in the most efficient way.
